The Archies thongs were designed by a young physio who was tired of telling his patients to stop wearing flat thongs. The Archies thongs have the same amount of support as an off-the-shelf orthotic which helps keep the foot supported. They have a tighter soft rubber strap than normal thongs to stop the toes from gripping, which enables you to walk more naturally. However, if the strap is too tight, it is very easy to decrease the strap tightness by stretching the strap and toe pole with your hands in the sections where it feels too tight.

Archies thongs were designed by a young physiotherapist from Melbourne, Australia, to be an alternative to regular flat thongs. They look just like ‘normal thongs’ except with the support you find in a typical orthotic which helps support the foot and encourages a more optimal foot posture. The tighter strap reduces toe clawing and enables a more natural walking pattern.
The elevated heel section helps to reduce stress on the calf and Achilles tendon.
